Welcome

The new academic year is just over a week old and it’s been great to meet lots of new students and see those who have returned after the summer to continue with their studies. We welcome you all and are here to support you in your learning.
There have been some changes in the library this summer. If you’re reading this then you’ll have noticed that we have a new website. We hope that it is easy for you to use and that you can find all of the information that you need. If you have any comments or suggestions about the website please send us an email. Some other changes and reminders are listed below.
At Booth Lane and Lower Mounts you can now book a computer. If you know that you will need to use a computer at specific time on a specific day then you can book a computer in advance using our online booking system.
If you enjoy reading or free food you should join our Reading Journey. After you read four fiction or biography books you can get a free coffee, tea, muffin or flapjack from the canteen.
Information and Study Skills sessions and one-to-ones are available in all three libraries. We can help you with referencing, essay writing, report writing, critical thinking or just general study skills. Drop in and speak to a learning facilitator.
You can access ebooks via dawsonera and ebrary. We will soon be adding a large number of ebooks for A’Level students on our upcoming A’Level page.
We hope to see you in the library soon and good luck with your studies!!
