Maths Magician on Google Classroom
What is Maths Magician?
Maths Magician is a 20-week numeracy scheme using ‘scenarios’ based on practical situations to solve puzzles.
How does it work?
Questions for each week will be posted on Google Classroom. These will correspond to your Maths Magician pack.
How do I join?
You will firstly need to collect your Maths Magician pack from the Library or your tutor. This will consist of a workbook, weekly information sheets and instruction sheet including your Google Classroom joining code.
Please note that the scheme has finished for this year but will be starting again in September.
An Award Winning Scheme...
The Library is a previous winner of the CoLRic Best Practice Award for its Maths Magician numeracy support scheme.
The Best Practice Awards are national awards that are designed to highlight excellence in Library initiatives that really make a difference. CoLRiC commented that the scheme ‘demonstrates excellent practice in engaging students in numeracy skills’.
Entries were shortlisted by the CoLRiC Executive Committee and winners were chosen by an independent judge. The Library was presented with the award at a very special 25th Anniversary CoLRiC Conference in June 2018.
