Print credit
Students are given a starting credit of £20 for black and white printing and photocopying. When your credit runs out you can pay for extra at the Library desk.
Black and White Printing Prices
A4 - 3p / A4 double sided - 6p
A3 - 6p / A3 double sided - 12p
Colour printing
Colour printing is available at Daventry and Lower Mounts Libraries. This is a seperate charge to your starting credit and must be paid for beforehand at the Library desk.
At Booth Lane, the Print Room (located in Oak Building) is available to facilitate colour printing.
Printing from a College computer
On your document, go to 'File' then click 'Print'. Ensure that the FollowMePrinter is selected and then click the 'Print' button.
When you are ready, go to the printer to release your printing.
Default Print Settings
All printing is defaulted to black & white, double-sided. If you need to change these options, access the Printer Properties/Options menu in the application you are printing from.
Printing from a personal device
Go to eprint.northamptoncollege.ac.uk
Enter your college login details and click 'Login'.
Select 'Choose File' to browse and select the document or image you would like to print and then click 'Next'.
A confirmation message will appear saying 'Your print job has been added successfully. It will be processed automatically in a moment.' and the print job will be visible below.
When you are ready, go to the printer to release your printing.
Releasing your printing
The printer is activated using your student card. This should be automatically assigned however if you are having issues please see a member of Library staff who will guide you through the process.
Please note that you will need to reassign your details to the printer if you get a new student card.
To release your printing simply follow the steps below.



Photocopying
The printer is also a photocopier and is again activated using your student card. This should be automatically assigned however if you are having issues please see a member of Library staff who will guide you through the process.

Scanning
The printer also allows you to scan documents and send to an email address.

You can also scan your work to a USB stick directly from the printer. Please see a member of Library staff who will show you how to do this.
