Creative Writing Competition 2023

The Library's Creative Writing Competition - Enter your poems and stories online!

To tie in with World Book Night on Sunday 23rd April, the Library has launched a Creative Writing Competition to showcase writing skills across the College and give you the chance to write and enter your own poems, short stories or even songs! Pick up a pen and get creative with words!

This year’s theme is Escape.

Entries should either include or use the above theme as inspiration and can be in the form of a poem, short story, letter or song. The competition is open for entries to both students and staff until Friday 19th May and entries must be no longer than 1000 words.

Please submit your work via the Creative Writing upload form below (please note that login with your college details is required). Alternatively, hand in your work to the Library desk, ensuring that it includes your name, student number and title of your work.

All entrants will receive a free book courtesy of The Reading Agency’s World Book Night and winning entrants will receive a prize!

Good luck!
